In November 2018, good news came that Julong Steel Pipe Company passed the New Product Appraisal of X80 Φ1422mm Steel Pipe, Bend and Tee for Low Temperature Service organized by China National Petroleum Corporation.

In December 2016, CNPC started the R&D Project of X80 1422 mm Steel Pipe, Hot-induction Bends, Site Welding Technology Research and X80 1422X1219mm Tee (-45 °C) in Low Temperature Environment for China-Russian Eastern Gas Pipeline to meet requirements of low temperature and harsh environment. Julong Company undertook the research and development of SAWL steel pipes, bends and pipe fittings. From 2017 to 2018, Julong Company actively carried out technical cooperation with domestic steel mills according to the special requirements and trial production plan of CNPC. Julong Company gave full play to its advantages of product integration, organized comprehensive trial production seriously and completed research and development work conforms to requirements and procedures successfully.
